KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE!

• Have you retired from a profession where science and math was an important part of your work? 
• Would you like to participate in an exciting new educational initiative to enhance secondary science and math instruction?

 Temple University’s Experience Corps, Drexel University’s Math Forum and the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) are collaborating on a project that will bring together retired professionals and science and math teachers at high schools in Philadelphia, PA; Wilmington, DE; and the Cherry Hill, NJ area to design experiential activities and instructional projects. We are seeking to improve student learning and increase career awareness.

Our Mission
To bring together retired Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) professionals and math and science high school teachers to develop methods to make math and science come alive.

As a STEM Teaching Mentor you can…
Collaborate with math and science teachers to develop ways of incorporating your real-world experiences into classroom lessons.

- OR - 

Work with students, individually or in small groups, to help them understand math and science concepts and increase their awareness of math and science-related careers.

Your Training
Program staff will prepare you to collaborate with teachers at high schools in Philadelphia, Wilmington and the Cherry Hill area that are part of this project.
